BOARD MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 8, 2009

Meeting called to order at 7: 00 p.m. by Ken Messer, Supervisor Tom Wass absent.

Present Ken Messer, Mike Cederholm, Greg Wisner and Evelyn Wilson.

Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Guests 7 including Anthony Groves from Progressive Architecture Engineering.

Routine Business:

Motion to approve Board Meeting Minutes of Dec.11, 2009-Wisner/Cederholm-AIF-Passed-as corrected. Typing error spelling of Cederholm-Special Meeting Minutes of Dec, 17, 2008-Cederholm/Wisner-AIF-Passed.

Motion to approve Treasures report Wisner/Cederholm-AIF-Passed. Motion to Approve the Listing of the Bills-Wisner/Cederholm-AIF-Passed.

Motion to approve Committee/Commission minutes or reports-none.

Correspondence-discuss and act on as appropriate-none.

Fire Department: Fire Chief Wes Hull reported 6 Medical runs-3 Fire runs. For 2008 there were 35 medical and 12 Fire runs with a total of 47. Cold water rescue with U.S. Coast Guard is set for Sat. January 24 at 1:00 p.m. at Twp Marina. Donation of $200 from Lutheran Ladies Aid. And $50 from an Arcadian summer resident. Mans Co. Fire Fighters Association and Fire Chief's Meeting will be held in Arcadia Weds., Jan 21 at 6:30 p.m.

Planning Commission: Greg Wisner reported nothing changed since last meeting. Historical Commission: Greg Wisner reported a meeting was held where they elected officers and went over the budget for this year.

Harbor Committee: No report.

Parks and Recreation: No report.

Cemetery Committee: No report.

Grants Committee: No report.

Public Comment: Ken Hilliard reported the names of the new County Commissioners .

Old Business: Ken Messer discussed the Resolution of the Arcadia Lake Improvement Project. Anthony Groves discussed a change that should be made in the sentence-of all lands abutting Arcadia Lake- should include-“back lots that have deeded or dedicated access”etc.

Motion by Mike to adopt the resolution with changes, seconded by Greg Wisner and a roll call vote was taken-Ken Messer-Aye, Mike Cederholm-Aye, Greg Wisner-Aye and Evelyn Wilson-Aye-Nays 0. Ken Messer discussed the necessity of repealing the Special Assessment Ordinance. Motion by Greg Wisner to repeal the ordinance-seconded by Mike Cederholm and a roll call vote was made. Ken Messer-Aye, Mike Cederholm-Aye, Greg Wisner-Aye and Evelyn Wilson-Aye-nays 0. The financing for the Fire Dept WaterTender was discussed. Motion by Greg Wisner to pass Resolution to finance water tender-seconded by Mike Cederholm-roll call vote was taken-Ken Messer-aye-Mike Cederholm-aye-Greg Wisner-aye-Evelyn Wilson-aye nays 0. Greg Wisner discussed information he received about recycling Camp Arcadia is interested in sharing the bin and charges with us. No action was taken.

New Business: Motion to appoint three members to two years on the Bd of Review made by Greg Wisner and seconded by Mike Cederholm. Tom Jass, Ted Beiderwieden,Ed Matusko are Members-Charles Mange is the alternate-AIF-Passed. Burn Barrels discussed-no action taken. Greg Wisner is taking the Citizen Planners Course on line at a cost of $349.99.

Motion to Ajourn Meeting by Wisner/Cederholm-AIF-Passed. Meeting adjourned at 8:07 p.m.
